HB762G - Lightning Lab - Introduction to IBM Engineering Systems Design Rhapsody - Model Manager v6.0.6

IBM Engineering Systems Design Rhapsody - Model Manager (RMM) is a web-based repository for IBM Engineering Systems Design Rhapsody models, based on the proven IBM Engineering Workflow Management (EWM) technology. Modelers work on files locally in their own file-based workspace. Changes to the models are encapsulated in change sets – which may then be backed up to the server by checking them in – and shared with others by delivering them into a team area. The following graphic illustrates the architecture. IBM Engineering Workflow Management has an eclipse-based desktop client as well as an area on the Jazz Team Server (/ccm). The same is true for Rhapsody - Model Manager – which has an area on the Jazz Team Server (/am) as well as adapters for Rhapsody and the EWM desktop client to allow communication. Note that there is no direct connection between Rhapsody and the Jazz Team Server – Rhapsody works with model files on the hard drive that are managed by the EWM desktop client.

HB727G - Lightning Lab - Impact Analysis Using IBM Engineering Optimization - Engineering Insights v6.0.6

This is a technical hands on course via lightning labs focusing on IBM Lifecycle Optimization -Engineering Insights (ENI),previously called Rational Engineering Lifecycle Manager or RELM. This is a powerful tool that allows dynamic analysis and visualization of the linked lifecycle data –allowing impact analysis to be performed in a matter of minutes.Although ENI ships with a collection of sample views, it is very easy to build your own. In this Lightning Lab,you will build a simple Impact Analysis view –starting with awork item in IBM Engineering Workflow Management (previously called Rational Team Concert) and exploring the requirements and tests linked to that work item.Note that in this lab you will be using the sample data that ships with the product from Jazz.net, that is the JKE Banking or ‘Money That Matters’sample. Whilst this is more of an IT project than an engineering one –it still contains the same kinds of artifacts (requirements and tests for example). However,it does not contain any models and so Rhapsody/Rhapsody Model Manager data is not included in this lab. Further training is available that focuses on use of ENI to analyze model data.
