This course enables the participants to evaluate project requirements and to develop a suitable NetApp storage solution. The course gives an overview of current concepts and requirements in the mid-range and high-end storage solutions and shows how a storage solution is optimally integrated into the IT landscape. Concepts of storage networks, storage systems and backup solutions are also discussed, with an emphasis on functionality, availability, administration and security.

IMPVMWAR: Implementing VMware vSphere on ONTAP 9.9

In this course, you learn how to manage VMware vSphere virtualization solutions with NetApp ONTAP data management software. You learn how to use NetApp ONTAP tools for VMware vSphere and other ONTAP solutions to deploy, manage, and protect the VMware virtual infrastructure on ONTAP based storage systems in both SAN and NAS environments. The course introduces you to the ONTAP tools Virtual Storage Console (VSC), NetApp VMware vSphere API for Storage Awareness (VASA) Provider, and Storage Replication Adapter (SRA). VVNA: VMware vSphere on NetApp

In this course you will learn different methods to implement VMware vSphere 6.7u3 on NetApp ONTAP 9.6. The course provides a quick update on the current ONTAP and VMware versions, introduce the current tools to manage a VMware virtual infrastructure (VSC 9.6) and describe and provide practical exercises to provision datastores and storage for guest VMs with various protocols. It also points administrators to methods to back up their virtual infrastructure according to best practices and discusses methods and tools to manage and monitor for health and performance.

IMPMSHV: Implementing Microsoft Hyper-V on Data ONTAP

Implementing Microsoft Hyper-V on Data ONTAP (IMPMSHV) is a 2 day instructor led course where you will learn how to design and implement virtualization solutions on NetApp® storage systems using Microsoft Hyper-V. You will also discover how to deploy the Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2 virtual infrastructure on Data ONTAP storage.

PROVMVSP: Protecting VMware vSphere

This course describes the deployment of the SnapCenter Plug-in for VMware vSphere. In this course, you learn about the features of the plug-in and learn how to install and perform initial configuration of the plug-in. You also use NetApp SnapCenter software to learn how to protect and restore VMware virtual machines (VMs) and datastores. Through instructor-led presentations and web-based courseware, you gain knowledge about these topics. Hands-on exercises provide you with experience in performing these tasks.

SFSA: Element Software Administration

This two-day, instructor-led course uses lecture and hands-on exercises to teach basic administration of a NetApp Element software cluster in a SolidFire system. You configure and maintain a cluster. You practice working with Element software features, using the Element CLI and web UI to manage storage and network resources.

SANADM: ONTAP SAN Administration v9.8

In this certification & training course, you learn about configuring ONTAP 9 Data Management Software for a SAN environment. The course provides information about block-level protocols, including FC, FCoE, and iSCSI on Microsoft Windows Server, Linux, and VMware ESXi host operating systems. The course also discusses best practices for managing SAN storage provisioning, protocols, hosts, availability, and data protection. An introduction to NVMe over Fabrics (NVMe-oF) is provided. The course focuses on ONTAP 9.0 functionality and includes lecture and a hands-on exercise environment.

SANIMP: ONTAP SAN Implementation v9.8

In this certification & training course you will learn the installation process for ONTAP 9 Data Management Software for a SAN environment. The course provides information about block-level protocols, including FC, FCoE, NVMe, and iSCSI, on Microsoft Windows Server, Linux and VMware ESXi host operating systems. The learning will be reinforced through hands-on guided labs. The course materials include a lab workbook that will serve as an on-the-job reference guide.

OCIIMP: OnCommand Insight: Implementation

In this lecture-based and lab-based certification & training course, you learn how to install and configure OnCommand Insight. This course builds on the contents of the “OnCommand Insight: Fundamentals” course. This course demonstrates how to successfully deploy the components of OnCommand Insight. To learn how to use OnCommand Insight for daily operations, attend the “OnCommand Insight: Intelligent Operations” course. To learn how to use the reporting capabilities of the OnCommand Insight data warehouse, attend the “OnCommand Insight: Business Insights” course.

In this course, you become familiar with some of the most important features of OnCommand® Insight for the day-to-day management, monitoring, and troubleshooting of data infrastructures. This course concentrates on the reporting features of OnCommand Insight and the OnCommand Insight Data Warehouse. This course demonstrates how to use OnCommand Insight to perform operational reporting that aids in daily administrative tasks. This course also demonstrates how to use IBM Cognos Analytics to perform business reporting. By learning how to create customized reports, you should come away with a basic understanding of how to extend Insight to meet other business reporting needs.

CCWWFA: Creating and Customizing Workflows Using OnCommand Workflow Automation

This course shows new storage architects how to use OnCommand® Workflow Automation (OnCommand WFA) to eliminate error-prone manual processes for storage management in their organizations. The course describes how to design and customize workflows to meet organizations’ storage requirements. The course also describes how to create design elements, such as commands, finders, data sources, and functions. Finally, the course provides an overview of REST APIs and the NetApp PowerShell Toolkit and how this toolkit integrates with OnCommand WFA.

OCIIO: OnCommand Insight: Intelligent Operation

In this certification & training course, you become familiar with some of the most important features of NetApp OnCommand Insight, relevant to the day-to-day management, monitoring, and troubleshooting of data infrastructures. The course concentrates on the Insight features that aid in daily system administration tasks. If you are interested in Insight features that relate to business reporting or IT department integration you should look for course offerings specific to those topics. The course takes you through a typical storage administration issue and the Insight features that you can use to resolve that issue. In this Partner-only course, you increase your proficiency as a NetApp® ONTAP® software engineer by learning how to troubleshoot ONTAP environments. FlexPod Implementation and Administration is a 3-day instructor-led certification & training course where you will learn to set up, configure, and administer the FlexPod architecture. The course provides a comprehensive understanding of the configuration requirements for FlexPod at the network, storage, and compute layers of the architecture. FlexPod can be used to deploy and manage internal, external, and cloud architectures. In this class you install Oracle, configure an Oracle database; use several solutions to back up Oracle databases, and restore an Oracle database. The material of this class is not meant to provide an exhaustive study of Oracle. COMNESES: Configuring and Monitoring NetApp E-Series and EF-Series Storage Systems

In this certification & training course, you learn how to deploy, configure, and monitor NetApp E-Series or EF-Series storage systems. In the deployment phase, you use both the NetApp SANtricity® Storage Management and System Management software to create the configuration, perform administrative tasks, and employ data protection features. You also learn how to configure attached servers for I/O operations. NFSAD - ONTAP NFS Administration

This course extends the NFS information that is found in the ONTAP Cluster Administration course. This course reviews NFS and explores in more detail different NFS versions and the features of ONTAP 9 software that support the NFS protocol. The exercises are accomplished using ONTAP 9 software.

CDOTDP9 - ONTAP 9.10 ONTAP Cluster Administration and Data Protection Bundle

This 5 day certification & training course comprises the ONTAP Cluster Administration (ONTAP9ADM) followed by the 2 day ONTAP Data Protection Administration (DATAPROT9) courses. The first 3 days uses lecture and hands-on exercises to teach the basic administration tasks of an ONTAP 9.9 cluster. You use the cluster shell and OnCommand System Manager to manage storage and network resources. ONTAP Cluster Administration is an intermediate course in a comprehensive learning path for NetApp customers, partners and employees.
